For my MSC thesis, I designed the restoration and extension of a dilapidated tourist hut at the end of a village called Óbánya. I chose the site after a preliminary environmental study and consultation with local residents, as I felt it was important to meet the needs of the community and the environment.
During the design process, I paid particular attention to preserving the character of the old building and creating harmony with the environment. To achieve this, I have renovated the old parts and created new accommodation, designed to fit in with the environment and built using local materials.
In the extension of the building, I have created a new level overlooking the meadow, giving guests the opportunity to enjoy the panoramic view of the surroundings. My aim was to create a modern yet traditional accommodation, offering both comfort and proximity to nature.
